Delete Your BrewFocus Account
BrewFocus is developed and operated by Sleak Software (sole proprietorship of Canberk Pitirli, Republic of Türkiye).
You can request permanent deletion of your BrewFocus account and all associated data at any time. This page explains how to do it, what gets deleted, and what is kept.
Option 1 — Delete from inside the app (recommended)
The fastest way. It deletes your account immediately.
- Open the BrewFocus app.
- Sign in with the account you want to delete.
- Tap Settings at the bottom of the screen.
- Tap your profile card at the top (or Edit profile) to open Account Settings.
- Scroll to the Danger Zone section at the bottom.
- In the text box, type the word
DELETE (all capitals).
- Tap the Delete account button.
Your account and all associated data are permanently removed the moment the button confirms success. You will be signed out automatically.
Option 2 — Delete by email
If you cannot open the app, email us and we will delete the account for you.
- Send an email to sleaksoftware@gmail.com from the address registered with your BrewFocus account.
- Subject line:
Delete my BrewFocus account.
- We will confirm receipt within 2 business days and complete the deletion within 30 days.
If you email us from a different address than the one on the account, we may ask you to verify your identity before we delete anything. This protects your account from impersonation.
What is deleted
When your account is deleted, the following is permanently removed from our systems:
- Your authentication record (email address and password hash)
- Your profile (username, avatar image)
- All of your focus sessions (session start times, durations, which task they belonged to)
- All of your tasks, sub-tasks, and projects
- All of your focus-day totals (streak data, daily focus time)
- All of your settings (preferred durations, selected noise, theme, accent colour, daily goal, and so on)
- Any files you uploaded, including your avatar image in our
Avatars storage bucket
Once deletion completes, this data cannot be recovered. We do not maintain a backup of deleted user data beyond the cleanup period described below.
What may be retained
In line with legal and operational requirements, a very small set of records may be kept after your account is deleted:
- Purchase records — if you purchased BrewFocus Pro, we retain the receipt identifier and purchase amount for up to 10 years as required by Turkish tax and accounting law. These records do not contain your tasks, sessions, or any productivity data.
- Crash and error reports — automatic diagnostics sent by the app while you used it are retained for up to 90 days in our error-monitoring service (Sentry). They contain technical context (device model, app version, stack trace) but are not linked to your real identity.
- Anonymised aggregate statistics — counters like “a focus session was started” or “the paywall was shown” are kept indefinitely in aggregate form. These numbers contain no information that can be linked back to you.
- Backups — automated database backups may retain your data for up to 30 days after deletion. These backups are never used except to restore the service after a catastrophic failure, and any restore would be followed by re-running the delete.
After the periods above, all retained records are purged on a rolling basis.
Regional rights
Users in Türkiye, the European Union, the United Kingdom, and California have specific rights under KVKK, GDPR, UK GDPR, and CCPA/CPRA respectively. These include the right to access, correct, and obtain a copy of your data, and the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. For more, see our Privacy Policy.
Within the app, you can also export a full JSON copy of your data (Settings → Edit profile → Export my data) before deleting.
